Among new work at Matt Lehman Studio, this logo for the March 2011 edition of Esquire’s “Eat Like A Man” section.
So nice to see Matt Lehman getting love from Matthew Buchanan showing up in my Tumblr feed. #2awesomematts

Explorations in Typography: Mastering the Art of Fine Typesetting (A Visual Textbook for Intermediate to Advanced Typography) is a vast collection of beautiful typesetting examples.
I spent a bit of time playing with the online type tool. Nice to try different fonts, and they have quite a few screen-friendly typefaces that I’d never heard of. Very very well done.

Sometimes I like to think of Kyle Jones as my “internet little brother”. While attending Brentwood High (where I went) he career shadowed me back in ‘04, then went on to go to MTSU (my alma mater), and has been producing great work ever since. I can safely say he’s the most talented young Nashvillian that I’ve seen since a young flash wizard Eric Krueger (finish your site, bud!) came on board with us at KNI.
Kyle just released another hit with Haäfe & Haph, a set of gorgeous ampersands, not to mention a really lovely site to display them all. Nice job bud! I think I need to career-shadow you now!
For some reason I just realized that Hoefler Text (from the incomparable Hoefler & Frere-Jones) is a standard font in OSX. I got really excited about the notion of using it in the place of Georgia in HTML, but strangely Firefox isn’t displaying it correctly.
